[[abstract]]In evaluating the syntax of five temporal adverbs, it is observed that “dondon,” “dandan,” “sidaini,” and “jyojyoni” are only used to describe limited time situations whereas “masumasu” does not have this restriction. The aforementioned four adverbs must be used with predicates that exhibit movement, while “masumasu” can be used with either predicates that describe movement or condition.
